Talking science with Scibernia

I was recently interviewed by the folks over at Scibernia.ie, who produce an excellent bi-monthly podcast featuring science news, debate, and analysis. The interview was conducted by tech journalist (and “recovering philosopher“) Sylvia Leatham (@SylviaLeatham) after my recent public lecture for the Irish Skeptics Society. My interview focused on the issue of how science can be communicated (and mis-communicated) to non-scientist audiences, both by scientists themselves and by the media. The piece is followed by some interesting post-match punditry with Scibernia analyst Triona O’Connell (@triploidtree).

The other items on the podcast are worth a listen too, of course. The show focused broadly on the implications of technology for humanity, including items on the 70s TV show The Bionic Woman, organic bionics, and cybernetics.
